Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) are an agreement between you and Wordweav (“Wordweav”, “we”, “us”) governing your access to and use of CV Builder (the “Service”). By creating an account or otherwise using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you don’t agree, don’t use the Service.

CV Builder lets you build CVs/resumes and cover letters, preview and export them as PDF or DOCX, and track job applications on a Kanban-style board. Some features use artificial intelligence to draft cover letter text, rewrite CV content, score how well a CV matches a job description, or extract structured details from a pasted job posting.

• You sign in with a one-time code sent to your email address; there is no password to manage.
• You must provide an email address you actually control and can access.
• You’re responsible for anything that happens through your account, so keep access to your email account secure.
• One account is intended for one individual; don’t share login codes or sessions.

You keep ownership of the CVs, cover letters, job descriptions, notes, and any other content you enter into the Service (“Your Content”). You grant Wordweav a limited license to store, process, and display Your Content back to you, and to send the relevant parts of it to third-party service providers (including AI providers and email delivery providers) solely to operate and provide the Service to you, as described in the Privacy Policy.

You’re responsible for Your Content and for making sure you have the right to enter it. Don’t submit content that’s unlawful, infringes someone else’s rights, or contains another person’s sensitive personal information without their consent.

Cover letter drafts, rewritten bullet points, match scores, and any other AI-generated output are produced automatically and may be inaccurate, incomplete, or unsuitable for your situation. They are not professional, legal, or career advice. You’re responsible for reviewing and editing any AI-generated content before you rely on it or send it to an employer.

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for anything unlawful or fraudulent.
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other accounts, data, or systems.
• Scrape, reverse engineer, or interfere with the normal operation of the Service.
• Abuse the AI features in a way designed to overload or misuse them.
• Upload malicious code or content that violates a third party’s rights.

The Service is currently free to use. We may introduce paid plans or usage limits in the future; if we do, we’ll give you reasonable notice before any change that affects you.

You can stop using the Service and request deletion of your account and data at any time by contacting us. We may suspend or terminate access to the Service, with or without notice, if we believe you’ve violated these Terms or if continuing to provide the Service to you creates a legal or security risk.

The Service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis, without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We don’t guarantee the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure, and we don’t guarantee any outcome (such as job offers or interviews) from using it.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Wordweav is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, or for any loss of data, income, or opportunity, even if advised of the possibility of such damages. Our total liability for any claim arising from these Terms or the Service is limited to the amount you paid us, if any, in the 12 months before the claim arose.

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we’ll update the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, notify you. Continued use of the Service after a change means you accept the updated Terms.

These Terms are governed by the laws applicable to Wordweav as the operator of the Service, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, except where local law requires otherwise.
